How to Remove Flubber from ClothesThis week, my kids are having a blast at an enrichment camp offered by our school system.  They each got to choose 2 fun classes to take for the week and my son is in one called “Slimy Science”.  He’s definitely having fun, but you can imagine the things that are coming home with him!  Today, he came home with several balls of flubber, colored green (his favorite color).  I helped the kids get a snack and then headed upstairs to fold laundry.  I’m sure you can figure out where this is going by the title of this post… My son soon came upstairs to tell me he accidentally sat in the flubber and had it all over his shorts and the back of his shirt.

But I am not one to shy away from a laundry challenge!  Kids clothes are expensive and if they’re not full of holes, I’m going to try to fix them.  Anyone else with a boy around age 6 knows that clothes without holes are like precious treasures… I try to preserve them at all costs!

Thankfully we live in the age of Google and I could find some tricks for removing it.  In case anyone else is wondering how to do it, I thought I’d write a little tutorial.  It was actually shockingly easy!

First, gather your supplies:

Plain white vinegar (notice I have Aldi brand!)

Then pour the vinegar onto the flubber and watch it magically dissolve!

Amazing!

Next, rinse off with water.

Repeat as necessary!

That’s it!  I thought I’d share because I thought it was pretty amazing.  I thought I was in for some terrible multi-step process, but all it took was some vinegar and water.  No elbow grease required!
