As I discovered when I was researching alternatives to Shakeology, 310 Shake is one of Shakeology’s biggest competitors. I was wondering, how do Shakeology and 310 Shake really compare? I did my best to cut through the hype and make an honest comparison of Shakeology vs. 310 Shake. Note: I also do a full comparison of Shakeology vs Vega One).

Taste of 310 Shake vs Shakeology

In the reviews of 310 Shake, there is a fair amount of discussion about the taste and consistency differences between Shakeology and 310 Shake. The one thing that most agree on is that Shakeology is thicker than 310 Shake.

Most people agree that 310 Shake tastes less sweet than Shakeology. Shakeology contains real sugar (along with stevia), while 310 Shake is sweetened with stevia only.

Which taste and texture is better seems to be a matter of personal taste, with some preferring Shakeology and some people preferring 310 Shake. There does not seem to be a clear winner on taste.

  • 310 Shake is much lower in calories compared to Shakeology (90 calories vs 160 calories).

310 Shake and Shakeology Whey are both vitamin-fortified and both contain a number of vitamins, although Shakeology has a bit higher amounts. Shakeology Vegan is not vitamin-fortified and contains many fewer vitamins and minerals than 310 Shake.

Shakeology (Whey & Vegan) contains:

  • Yacon Root (insoluble fiber)
  • Chiccory Root (insoluble fiber)
  • 6 grams of fiber total
  • Bacillus coagulant (probiotic)
  • Amylase (digestive enzyme)
  • Cellulase (digestive enzyme)
  • Lactase (digestive enzyme for milk)
  • Glucoamylase (digestive enzyme)
  • Alpha-Galactosidase (digestive enzyme)
  • Invertase (digestive enzyme for sugar)

310 Shake contains:

  • Fiber Blend (Soluble Dietary Fiber, Waxy Maize, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum)
  • Lactobacillus Acidophilus (probiotic) 1 billion cfu/serving
  • 5 grams of fiber total

Both Shakeology and 310 Shake contain fiber, but Shakeology has a higher amount (6g vs 5g). Both contain probiotics, but they are different types. Shakeology does not specify how many probiotics it has while 310 Shake states it’s 1 billion/serving. Shakeology contains digestive enzymes, while 310 Shake does not.

Sweetener Types and Sugar Content

Shakeology Whey and Shakeology Vegan are both sweetened with cane sugar and stevia. They both have 7 grams of sugar per serving. 310 Shake has lower sugar (0g vs 7g) because it is sweetened with stevia only.

Certifications: Vegan, Organic, Gluten-Free

  • Shakeology Vegan is vegan, but Shakeology Whey is not vegan because it contains whey, which is a milk product.
  • 310 Shake is NOT vegan because its vitamins are not plant-based, even though it is a mostly plant-based product.
  • Neither 310 Shake or Shakeology are certified organic.
  • 310 Shake is certified gluten-free and Shakeology is not. Shakeology says that it doesn’t contain any gluten ingredients, but it is not certified gluten-free and their label says that it is processed in the same facility as wheat products.
