Birkenstock sandals were popular in the 1990s and they’ve come back in a big way! My daughter has been asking for some, which made me wonder if there were some good quality knock off Birkenstocks.
Birkenstock sandals are excellent quality, but it’s hard to justify the cost, especially for a growing tween! I feel like I have to buy shoes every other week around here. Can you relate?

There are many people who swear by their Birkenstocks and say they are worth every penny of their $100 price tag. Many people also say they last 10+ years. If they really do last you 10 years, $10/year is not a bad price.
For an adult, that might be worth it. For a child whose shoe size will probably change next month, that’s a bit much for me. I know my daughter definitely won’t get 10 years out of them! (She will be lucky with 10 months!)
Can You Buy Real Birkenstocks at Amazon.com?
Birkenstocks ended its relationship with Amazon.com in 2017 because they claim Amazon wasn’t doing enough to stop counterfeit sandals from being sold. There are no authorized sellers that are allowed to sell brand name Birkenstocks at Amazon.com.
Although there are still plenty of listings for brand-name Birkenstocks at Amazon.com, they are unauthorized. You might still get the real deal, but it’s a pretty big gamble.
If you are considering buying brand-name Birkenstocks, I would recommend buying from an authorized retailer instead. Or choose one of the great look-alikes from other brands, listed below!
Are these Counterfeit Birkenstock Knock-offs?
Counterfeit Birkenstock knock-offs would be sandals that are made to look exactly like Birks, complete with fake brand labels. True counterfeit knock-offs are illegal.
